Mediation Program

Mediation: Mediation is a cost effective option to resolving workplace and interpersonal disputes. An External Mediator is an objective third party who works with the individuals and the organization to resolve the disputes in a mutually satisfactory manner. The process is completely voluntary and confidential; agreement is only reached with the approval of all parties.

Our mediation style is very facilitative and respectful, with a focus on durable and sustainable solutions.

The mediation process is useful for situations when the individuals or organizations have an ongoing professional relationship or, when there is a need for closure for the parties as in some harassment or workplace incidents.  Mediation can be an effective tool between parties after a workplace investigation has been conducted when there is a need to clear the air and move forward.

Coaching & Mediation: A transformative coaching and mediation program for resolving protracted and high conflict  situations is a successful approach. The benefits to the organization are exponential from a solution to a seemingly impossible situation to increased employee skill sets to increased engagement in the workplace.

Facilitating Challenging Conversations: Managing challenging conversations between individuals and groups can require a neutral seasoned professional. This type of process has been especially valuable for situations when high conflict, conflict of interest or underlying mental health factors are involved.

Corporate Community Circles / Conferencing:  Community and wisdom circles have long been established in aboriginal communities and the restorative processes in the court system.

This valuable process is equally valuable for any workplace group interested in or in need of creating an open space to clear the air, provide an opportunity for healing damaged workplace relationships and in forging a new elevated path moving forward. The circle process is an effective resource for teams with repeated issues at work, groups of people of 3 or more, as part of a healing process after an investigation or incident.

Using a corporate community circle or conferencing as part of a restoration process is instrumental in restoring health back into the workplace and building a high trusting culture. The benefits are immeasurable to the organization, employees, leaders as well as their families and communities.

When asked by Sue if I would be willing to be fully open to the process of mediation, I agreed.  I never would have believed the process could work so well with such a difficult situation.  I was truly amazed!

The employees are coming back and telling everyone there has been a miracle. I know the mediation is confidential but what can you tell me as to what happened.  Background – one employee retained a lawyer and the family became involved due to a significant life threatening illness.
